【Emergency】Strong Earthquake off Aomori Coast – Tsunami Warning Issued (Up to 3m)
At around 23:15 JST on December 8th, 2025, a very strong earthquake struck off the eastern coast of Aomori Prefecture. The quake registered a maximum intensity of Shindo 6+ (M7.2). A Tsunami Warning (up to 3 meters) has been issued for coastal areas in Hokkaido and the Tohoku region.
